The film highlights the detailed current scenario of the dominance of English language in various sectors in our country, India.

It aimed to change the whole mindset about the medium of functioning in various sections and to formulate a proper strategy to overcome this language myth and dependency on English.

The introduction of vernacular languages and their promotion is must to ensure the all round development of the common mass and it will not affect the ongoing growth of the country. Moreover, it will help India utilize it’s hitherto unused talent for the development of the nation.

The film has discussed reasons behind the myth. Government policies, public perception and mindset, post colonial rule impact. Examples of economic powers like Japan, china, etc. where regional languages are the basis of development, importance and relevance of the use of regional languages

Systematic implementation and promotion of regional Indian languages in academic, official and other domains and gradual elimination of myth of superiority of English as the language of development.

3. Who am I?

The film “Who am I?” highlights the issues of Pakistani Hindus, in Pakistan, as well as in India. The minority community of Pakistan has been subjected to gravest human rights violations and persecution for the past several years, which has resulted in the exodus of Hindus from Pakistan to India in great numbers. Although their problem doesn’t reduce after seeking refuge in India where they are stigmatized for being Pakistanis.

The feature length film tells the stories about different issues they face in Pakistan, which include conversion, bonded labour, attacks of temples, Hindu hatred in government approved school textbooks and kidnapping for ransom. After seeking refuge in India they suffer for basic needs, resettlement issues as no  assistance is being provided by government authorities, identity crisis, discrimination by the local people, local NGOs and authorities. However, the current government has announced several schemes for them, and a few positive things has happened to them in their regime.

The film will portray the root cause of the issues of minority Hindus in Pakistan, starting from the partition of India where they became the citizens of divided India from the undivided India, overnight and for generations they have been paying the price of it. India has failed to raise  the issue of persecution of Hindus in its neighboring country on a global platform and due to which they are ignored community no has ever paid attention to. Also, India doesn’t have its own refugee laws which makes the situation worse for these people seeking refuge here. The film is a detailed story of their life in Pakistan and their their life after coming to India.

The film was one of the most successful crowdfunded projects of the year 2016 and aims at global awareness about the ignored community.
